Some might raise an eyebrow but for me, mixing The Lord's Prayer and Valentine's decors seem appropriate in my mind because the Lord's Prayer embody all the love that humanity got from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Ok, let me recount to you where I got my decors. The red vase and the quote about love are both from Salvation Army for $1.50.

These flowers, clear vases, decorative stones, and foam fillers were all bought from the Dollar Tree store.

These colors mixed together are giving the energetic vibes that we all feel at home right now. I just remembered a friend who, in her whole life, would never ever mix red and pink. If she sees my decors, she'll definitely have a heart attack (hope not!) but see, she's old-school and she belonged to the era where blue and green should not mix nor orange and pink (look at Dora's clothes). I learned from my girls that it's ok to mix colors (crayons and watercolors are perfect pastimes of the girls) and come up with something that we can all enjoy.

The Valentine's banner is made up of red and white doilies from the Dollar Tree Store, little green clothes pins which are leftovers from this project,

little hearts from 99 cents Store, and a white yarn from our crocheting projects.

At the other side, here's what you can see. How I wish I can tell you that I made that red heart wreath but since I found it on sale at Joann's, I just grabbed it and that saved me time from making a wreath. I found that this area is lacking a little something-something so I decided to make pictures on poster boards.

Before I share my method for making poster board pictures, let me share Princess One's contribution to our Valentine's decor. It is this project she brought home from school. We've gotta have this wreath displayed, right? Of course I don't want to stunt her creative pursuits so up it went to our mirror.

I was inspired to make my own poster board photos upon seeing my officemate's photos last year. They were just literally pictures printed on foam boards so here's my version.
I had the picture collage of Princess One and Princess Two printed at Costco for only $2.99 each. Since the size is 12 x 12 and Costco doesn't have that option for photo poster board, I got a foam board from the Dollar Tree Store.

I traced the 12 x 12 pictures then cut it with X-acto knife.

I believe in using whatever material is available on hand so since it's the only glue that I think is suitable for this purpose, I simply dabbed the fabric glue at the back of each picture and attached it to the foam board.

Easy and a simple way to display pictures when you can't find the right size of the frames for them.

Since Costco doesn't have a 12 x 12 poster board photo, I'll compare it with Costco's 11 x 14 which is $9.99. My version costs $2.99 x 2 = $5.98 plus a dollar for the foam board, makes a total of $6.98 for 2.

I'm proud to say that Princess Two has her contribution to our Valentine-y atmosphere. (This little one always wants to give her input). She put this heart as a knob decor to our main door. This was a thrift store score for only 50 cents.

So our home is now totally decked out for Valentine's Day. How about you? Do you decorate for Valentine's?

I hang out here:
