Here's my inexpensive pictures holder at the office. I thought of personalizing my office space by displaying meaningful pictures in my professional career.
When I moved to my new office, there were items destined to go to the trash (or the warehouse for surplus) but I didn't have the heart to let go of this chunky frame.
I already have these little clothespins as a souvenir from the
Socal Social event I attended last October 8th so I thought these will be perfect to hold pictures.
We have a few leftover yarns from tons of crocheting projects my mother and I undertook so this is another great material for my project.
This glue is very handy and useful for this endeavor.
This tape is useful to hold things together, especially when gluing the yarn to the frame.
Now it's time to prep the frame on top of the tarp.
I primed it.
After letting the primer dry for a few hours, I spray-painted it with Rustoleum Metallic.
When everything has been said and done, I applied a coat of polyurethane.
See how useful that painter's tape is? After glueing the yarn onto the sides of the frame, I used the painter's tape to hold them til they are dry.
Waiting, waiting, and waiting for the yarns to dry. When they were totally glued, I took off the tape.
I brought some pictures, along with this frame, to the office.
Now, it's bringing some inspiration to my working area.
I can now easily replace the pictures or rotate them, just because.
This is now the focal point of the previous sparsely-decorated area. I'm loving it.
