Our bite-sized master bath has come along way, and I feel proud of its transformation. My mom cave, after lots of planning, trial and error, sweat, blood, tears, and loads of Therma Care supply, has evolved into this current state. Let's have a little tour, shall we?
This is the view coming from our bedroom. You'll see the new floor, the new toilet bowl, the little plant on top of the water tank, the 2-tier wall shelf I scored at Goodwill for $9.99, the wall art that says, "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your World" from HomeGoods at $14.99. Of course I stacked up a few bars of soap and rolls of tissue paper because admit it or not, how many times have you been busy communing with nature on the throne, only to find out how disappointing it is to have no tissue within reach? Or how many incidences occurred wherein you already started showering only to find out that you ran out of soap? That's what I love in this new addition of wall shelf.
Upon moving closer, you'll see the Martha Stewart Maracaibo mirror and the bath lights that I bought from Costco.
Here's a better view of the lights and mirror. We replaced the faucet, bought the soap holder and lotion dispenser from the Dollar Tree Store (I love that store!).
I painted the cabinet then installed the tissue holder.
I'm loving the look of our floors and baseboards at this angle.
Opposite our mirror is the double-rod towel bar. I also got the quote of "Live well, laugh often, love much" at the Dollar Tree Store.
This is the door towards our hallway. Those trims around the door look so crisp now because they are new and newly-painted. That door also got a fresh new paint.
Here's a closer look of the spot that we sweated out the most and I'll tell you why later on my next post.
That's me, taking a picture of the mirror and my great finds at the Dollar Tree Store. I really scored well with the lotion dispenser and soap holder because they perfectly match the wall color.
Here's another view of our bathroom coming from the hallway door.
Let me give you a flashback on how it all started.
There was a HomeGoods Mom Cave contest that Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch hosted and blessings of all blessings, I won. Here are the "before" pictures that I submitted and which convinced the judges that I really needed help in revamping it.
Bathroom upgrade phase 1 is my post that detailed how I painted the vanity and installed the knobs.
Afterwards, we replaced the faucet.
I painted the wall and ceiling. Hubby installed bath lights, then I installed tissue holder, and mirror as described in my bathroom upgrade phase 2 post.
I promised last time that this will be my final master bath post. I'm sorry to break this promise because 1) this is already a long post so I want to break it down into two. 2) I really wanna share with you the detailed steps how we replaced the old vinyl floor, how I used hand saw to cut a portion of the bath doors, how I cut the trim and nailed them. I'll also reveal why we did an emergency toilet bowl replacement, how we sent the stocks of Therma Care soaring, and racked up many doctor's visits. That's for Sunday's post, my friends :)
Onto our Roomspiration blog party and hop. If you wanna see fab entryways and lovely living rooms, check out Abode with Love and View Along the Way, respectively. Please visit also in the future the other ladies who are hosting the other inspiring rooms linked up in the Roomspiration blog party.
