I named these flowers Divine Roses. A rose means, "You are young and beautiful!" Divine means belonging to God. I combined both to impress on the wearer's mind of this Divine Rose that she is a young, beautiful, special daughter of God who has a purpose to fulfill in this life.
A good friend taught Princess One, my mom, and me how to make these Divine Roses, which I'm happily sharing with you.
First is line up the flower templates on top of the satin fabric or any polyester silk fabric. (As a special treat to you, I included the templates of the flower
here.)
Trace them one by one.
Cut all six circles.
One flower is made up of all six layers.
Burn the edges to give it a smooth finish. Caution should be prudently exercised when doing this step. If the fabric burns beyond the edges, immediately blow it to extinguish the fire.
Glue each layer as you stack them one by one, #1 being at the bottom and #6 at the top. Add decorative beads in the center and you can be as creative as you want to be.
Embellish the edges with glitter glue to hide the black edges that resulted from burning (or you can leave the black edges seen, depending on your whim.) You can also decorate the center with the glitter glue as you wish.
Wholeport sent me this
French Barrette Style Flat Clamps Hair Clips White K Plated where I glued the flower assembled previously.
Here are the products of our labor of love.
In case you're wondering how it looks like when modeled by Princess Two, count it as your lucky day, my friends. I hope you don't consider it a crime when she expressed her genuine, spunky self.
